Before starting Little Muddy Boots sessions, please read our information pack which includes details of what to expect, suggested clothing and our latest adjustments in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines for keeping you, your child and our staff safe.
At Little Muddy Boots there is always a little, or a lot of mud – so we always suggest wearing wellies (and good socks!) even if you are just exploring your garden or your park! Its means a puddle can be jumped in, mud can be splashed in, and every other adventure in-between. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!
Little Muddy Boots Sessions FAQ
Are Little Muddy Boots Sessions running?
We are starting our parent/ carer& child sessions again as of the 7th September. We are also going to be starting back with our Nursery partners. We have put a huge amount of time and care into making sure we return safely. Please see the Information pack above, page 6 for full COVID-19 procedures.
What age can you start Little Muddy Boots?
We now run two types of classes, our ‘original’ LMB sessions where children of 2 years and over can enjoy the organised activities, whether it’s an individual challenge or a group activity. Then we also have our toddler playgroups where our youngest Little Muddy Booters (1-3yrs) can try out some activities at their own pace as well as getting down to the important job of creating that perfect mud pie!
Younger siblings (0-1yrs) who are joining their big brother/sister at the session are welcomed and are free to come along. The site is buggy friendly and there is changing facilities on site. Once they are old enough, please chat to your Group Leader as to when they can officially become a Little Muddy Booter and join in fully!
Can I bring siblings and twins along?
We actively encourage siblings to join (it’s so much fun for families!) and we offer a 25% discount off second bookings. The sessions are set out to include all age groups and a provide a safe and secure setting for you to bring your children. Any babes in arms can be placed in a carrier, sling or buggy and kept close to you throughout the session.
Do you run sessions, regardless of the weather?
We firmly believe in the saying “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing”! Little Muddy Boots sessions run regularly throughout the year, come rain or shine. We would only cancel a session if high winds/storms are anticipated. In this scenario, you would receive the option to join another group on a different day, or be creditted for that one session
Please do read our information pack which includes details of suggested clothing for you and your children.
How much is it to join Little Muddy Boots?
Monday – Friday sessions
Little Muddy Boots sessions are booked in half termly blocks, based on the local school term timetable. Each one hour session costs £7.60 which is then multiplied by the number of weeks in the school term. Thus a six week block would cost £45.60. Siblings are given a 25% discount.
We suggest that you book onto a full term at a time as this guarantees your child’s place at Little Muddy Boots and provides them with the full benefits of regular outdoor education – such as watching their seeds grow, the tadpoles change and experience the seasonal changes that occur in the garden and woodlands.
If your child starts Little Muddy Boots after the term has begun, fees will be adjusted accordingly. Please do not amend payment around your holiday. If you are unable to attend a class, you can send someone in your place as long as the child is within the correct age range. Refunds cannot be given for non-attendance of sessions.
Fortnightly Saturday club
While we are not currently able to open our garden gates at the weekends, we hope this will change in the coming weeks. Our Saturday sessions are run as a Pay As You Go option, where you can simply join one Little Muddy Boots session for £7.50 per child. Spaces are limited, so please book to avoid disappointment.
